What is the difference between fine art nude, erotism, and pornography?
Good question! :-) Everybody has his answers, of course. This is my take:
- Fine art nude has no sexual references. It is just the portrait of a person, focusing on the natural state without clothes, highlighting body language and individuality. It promotes body acceptance free from shame or social constructs. It's timeless, healthy, empowering.
- Eroticism pertains to the realm of sexuality, from mere flirting to more intimate interactions.  In portraiture, it can depict the healthy sexual expression of the subject or serve as an artistic exploration.
- Pornography is about commerce. The finality is producing a product for sale. There is no attempt to deliver a "deeper message". The model(s) just shows the "merchandise" to arouse the viewer. To me, it could be considered a form of  "remote" sex work.
i am intrigued by posing nude. but...
- will the photographer think I am an "easy" woman, and "inviting" him?
No, of course not. Fine art nude is non-sexual. It's about the exploration of the body, and its acceptance, without shame or judgment. It's the photographer's job to create a safe environment for the model to experiment, and express freely.
- I don't feel "perfect" enough. I'm too old. Fat, Skinny. I have scars.
Nude portraiture is about you, nobody else. There is nobody to judge, nobody's expectations to please.  It's about accepting your body and feeling empowered.  It's like spending some time in front of a mirror. A great mirror, that only sees the best angles.
